I have been away!
I have not been able to do much review wise lately, with essays due and bands being difficult to get hold of I haven’t been able to review any albums…tip to bands; make it easy to get your CD’s. Have contacted two who were unable to send me one…even if I paid postage. Love your art. Work for it. Even if that means a trip to the post office.
Never fear though! I have some gigs coming up soon and hopefully some CD’s in the post.
In other news NTLB will be recording again soon and I *think* they will be releasing some new material by the end of the year. Exciting stuff.
Support your local music scene and be wise :)
Please link me to bands if you they they deserve a mention! So far I only have two playlists, the best of the south and the best of the midlands (of the UK). Happy to make more and discover more awesome music.
My first, daaaaaw
“2012 will see the release of their debut album on Ambassador Records as well as a huge European Tour that will take them to Moscow, Paris, Brussels and beyond.” Told you they were doing well!
Aphemia are a 5 piece industrial rock band from the Midlands, UK. Combining traditional and modern rock and metal, with industrial and dance structured Synth lines, Aphemia’s music has a solid groove and a dark, powerful feel.
From the guitarist of Never The Last Breath comes their new video!!!

Saw this and had to re-blog it.
The first music I ever owned was The Labyrinth soundtrack on Vinyl. I was about 3. Then I got a used Never mind cassette, a mixed tape with hold and garbage on it, a Kate bush cassette and my mum played radio head, U2 and REM a lot. That was the early 90’s for you and I love it.

The Smears! Awesome grunge/punk band, like Hole (I like hole) but more consistent and a little more back bone. Have a listen, I fully recommend it.
